Titan Link, in partnership with community agencies of Guilford County, works to improve the financial self-sufficiency, academic program completion, and ultimately the quality of life for Guilford Technical Community College students. This is accomplished by providing a supportive resource-rich environment where individuals can obtain academic supports, employment and career advancement opportunities, income supports, and coaching. Using an integrated approach, Titan Link leads students in reaching comprehensive benchmarks of social, physical, and economic well-being. The Titan Link Emergency Needs Assistant facilitates the daily operation of a Titan Link office, enforces and abides by Titan Link policies and procedures, communicates with a variety of college constituents, and creates an inclusive, professional, and learner-centered environment in order to enhance student success.
Education Required: High school diploma or GED
Education Preferred: Associate degree or higher in social work, human services, or closely related field
Experience Required: Experience with record keeping 6-months customer service experience Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel Experience working with diverse populations
Experience Preferred: Greater than 6 months of experience in customer service, especially front desk or reception Previous work experience in a post-secondary institution Experience with using learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard) and software to track academic or other support services (e.g., Navigate, Single Stop) Experience working with first generation college students and students from under-represented populations Bilingual
