Loyola University Maryland is seeking a Diversity Inclusion Specialist. This exciting, new full-time position in the Office of Equity and Inclusion on Loyola's Evergreen campus in Baltimore Maryland, reports to the University Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer (CEIO). Working under the direction of the CEIO and in collaboration with the President's Council on Equity and Inclusion, the Diversity Inclusion Specialist provides direct support to university community members and has a significant role in the implementation of the university's vision and strategic plan for diversity, equity, and inclusion. - Facilitation of diversity, equity, and inclusion meetings with students, faculty, staff and administrators, under the supervision of the CEIO;
- Collaboration with university offices to implement diversity, equity and inclusion best practices in student recruitment, retention, and development;
- Analysis of data and preparing initial reports related to diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and outcomes;
- Problem solving and collaboration regarding student inquiries on diversity and equity matters;
- Planning and implementation of university-wide training on a variety of foundational diversity, equity and inclusion topics;
- Supporting planning and implementation of university-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion events;and
- Maintaining office website and social media content.

Required Qualifications Include:
- Ability to work in ways that support the University's goals for institutional diversity, as well as the goals and values of a Catholic, Jesuit education;
- Ability to handle multiple complex tasks effectively and provide first-rate support and service to students, faculty, staff, administrators and community members;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and data systems;
- Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of quantitative and qualitative research methodology, diversity issues in higher education, diversity data collection and analysis;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, efficient work habits, strong organizational and leadership skills, and strong attention to detail;
- Strong multi-tasking and follow-up skills with ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines; - Ability to produce accurate work and prioritize effectively;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion;
- Demonstrated experience organizing, planning, and coordinating events;
- Demonstrate affirmation of the University's mission and commitment to inclusive excellence, diversity and equity;
- 3-5 years minimum related work experience; and
- Bachelor's degree in sociology, psychology, or a related field
- A Master's degree is preferred.
