Job Description:

Siena’s Biology Department is seeking a dynamic, experienced instructor to fill a full-time teaching position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology, 2021-22 academic year. The successful candidate with work with supportive colleagues to teach mainly General biology lecture and labs.  The two-semester introductory sequence is focused on cellular biology, genetics and evolution during the fall and the diversity of living organisms with an emphasis on morphology, physiology, phylogeny and ecology in the spring. Laboratories are taught by a team of instructors and the exercises are already developed.  The total teaching load is 12 contact hours per semester. This is a one-year position with a possibility for renewal.

Requirements: A Ph.D. in the biological sciences required (strong candidates that are ABD will be considered).  Relevant teaching experience strongly preferred.  A background screening will be required.
