Reporting to the president of the college, the AVP of DEI and institutional success is an institutional leader and member of the president’s staff who advances the College’s mission and vision to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment at Lebanon Valley College. The AVP engages and supports diverse perspectives and maximizes the success of inclusion of all students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The AVP bridges vision and strategy and develops, implements and leads critical institutional DEI initiatives, policies and projects while using a deep understanding of DEI challenges to lead systemic change. The AVP collaborates with campus leaders, students, alumni, faculty, staff and external constituencies to embed equity and inclusion into all campus operations and facilitate cultural change to transform the student experience. The AVP also coordinates and manages special projects at the president’s request to support institutional success. Qualifications include: a bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred in DEI, Human Resources, Business or a related field. DEI Certification and/or certifications in Project Management, Change Management or Human Resources preferred. A minimum of five years of relevant, successful, and progressive experience in a leadership position with responsibility for advancing DEI programs and initiatives. Higher education experience is preferred as well experience in staff development, supervision and project /budget management.
