The Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management has an opening for a lecturer (culinary instructor) with expertise in food preparation and training. The University of Houston is a major, public, comprehensive research university situated in the fourth largest city in the United States. The College is one of the leading hospitality and tourism programs in the world. It is located in a world-class facility, which contains extensive laboratory facilities, a library, convention space and a hotel. This position requires an earned Master’s Degree in hospitality or a business-related field. A culinary degree is preferred as well.
Responsibilities will include:
- Teaching culinary techniques and kitchen management related courses
- Managing the student instructional kitchen
- Serving as a faculty advisor for a student organization
- Leading the culinary team in student run events
Preference will be given to those with restaurant industry as well as teaching experience.
The College is seeking to identify successful candidates with strong culinary and teaching skills.
