Assistant Football Coach (Defense)

Gannon University, an NCAA Division II Catholic university, invites applications for a full-time Assistant Football Coach (Defense). This is a full-time, 12-month position that assists the head football coach and the defensive coordinator in implementing a competitive NCAA Division II football program. The Gannon University Football Team competes at the NCAA Division II level and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Responsibilities include but are not limited to coaching, recruiting, team practice and scheduling, program administration and budgeting. Also serves as the coordinator for community service projects for the football program. Successful candidates must be committed to the academic and athletic success of the student-athlete and be able to support and promote the University's Mission. Requirements include: a bachelor's degree (master's preferred); two years' coaching experience at the collegiate level and/or professional competitive experience; working knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations. Candidates must demonstrate a history of successful recruiting to a highly selective institution; must have strong communication, leadership and organizational skills; and must have a valid driver's license.
