Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Urban Planning and Design (Ref.: 504323), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Positioning, Location Based Services, Mobile Mapping, Navigation, or Computer Graphics, and a good publication record and a proven track record of doing independent research and supervising research assistants. They should be specialized in one of, but not limited to, the following subject areas in urban informatics: positioning, Location Based Services (LBS), mobile mapping and navigation. They should have experience in Web, Mobile Phone and IoT programming, proficiency with one or more programming languages, such as Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Swift, Objective-C, MySQL, and proficiency in written and spoken English. Preference will be given to those with knowledge of common open-source frameworks and specifications such as React Native and Flutter.

The appointee will work under the supervision of Professor Anthony Yeh (web page: https://www.arch.hku.hk/staff/upad/yeh-anthony-g-o/ ). He/She is expected to do independent research and supervise research assistants.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits, if applicable.
