This is a full-time benefits eligible position. Assist the Director with the development and execution of UCM’s strategic positioning and presidential, alumni communications, governmental relations, departmental and program marketing plans, strategies and projects.

The Associate Director of Marketing and Promotions manages a wide range of services provided to on-campus clients including the president’s office, alumni foundation, governmental relations, admissions, enrollment, student engagement and experience, academic programs, athletics, and a variety of other campus units.

Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate Integrated Marketing and Communications employees including graphic designers, marketing specialists, social media specialist, videographers, graduate assistants and students.

Develop and maintain UCM’s marketing recruitment campaign guidelines, look and style standards. Ensure campaign consistency across all audiences, including students, parents, alumni and the community. Work with departments and senior leadership to ensure their marketing communications and promotions reflect UCM standards.

Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Media Relations with monitoring the UCM brand through media, social media, communications, etc. Assist with the response to parent, student, and community inquiries through social media, as well

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communication, public relations or related field required.

Master’s degree in marketing, business administration, communication, public relations or related field preferred.

Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Web Page Maintenance, Other - Internet research, social media skills Experience

Four (4) years experience in marketing required.

Four (4) years of writing experience. Demonstrated experience in writing and editing for multiple contexts such as editorial, corporate, and advertising preferred.

Three (3) years supervisory experience required.

Three (3) years of progressive project management experience required.

Two (2) years of social media experience required.

Promotional event organizational experience preferred.

Data analysis experience preferred.

Email marketing experience preferred.

Web content experience preferred.

Digital advertising experience preferred.
