The Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law invites applications for a tenure track, Assistant Professor of Law position beginning August 1, 2022.

Qualifications

We are interested in outstanding candidates in all fields. A strong academic record, a J.D. or Ph.D. degree or their equivalent, and demonstrated commitment or the capacity to make outstanding contributions in the areas of scholarship, teaching, and service are required.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include teaching, advising, and mentoring students. Tenure track faculty are expected to develop and maintain an active research agenda for future tenure consideration and are evaluated on their research/scholarly activity, teaching and service.

Chapman University offers a relocation expense reimbursement package as well as a first-time Orange County homebuyer assistance program. Benefits are competitive and include a budget for research and travel. Faculty may also apply to the Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development for summer research stipends to work on individual and collective projects.

Successful completion of a background check is required for the final candidate. This position is subject to final budget approval.
