Position Summary:

The instrumentation specialist will support researchers, students and industry clients with setup and operation of pilot plant processing equipment and instrumentation in the new Center for Dairy Research (CDR) facility.

The CDR is one of the premier dairy research centers in the World. CDR serves as a national leader in strategic research to improve the competitive position of the dairy industry. The CDR Processing Group provides processes involving fractionation, thermal processing, concentration or drying of milk, whey, whey proteins and other dairy fractions.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

B.S. in Food Science, or BE in biological/process/electrical/chemical engineering or related area

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

3-5 years of experience with food, beverage or chemical processing equipment (obtained commercially or demonstrated through educational experiences). Requires experiences related to operation, maintenance and/or troubleshooting relevant process equipment. Knowledge of process instrumentation (automation/controls/ electricity) are required. Knowledge of dairy products is preferred.
