Position Summary:

This position will assist with a study of group PTSD therapy in state prison inmates, in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Koenigs. Duties include conducting study interviews with prison inmates, coordinating study visits, data entry and organization, and IRB protocol management.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

-Bachelor's degree required; preferably in psychology, biological sciences or health-related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

-At least 1 years of experience in clinical, health or psychological research environment preferred.
-Previous experience working with clinical or forensic populations and/or database management desirable.
-Experience managing Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols a plus.

Title prefix and salary will be dependent on relevant years of experience.

Additional Information:

Criminal and/or a Caregiver Background Check is required.

Knowledge/Skills Required:
-Must be familiar with computers and basic software applications (e.g. MS Office Suite).
-Detail oriented with strong organizational and management skills are critical.
-Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically in written and verbal forms with participants, faculty, researchers and staffs at all levels.

Knowledge/Skills Preferred:
-Experience managing Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols.
-Previous experience working with clinical or forensic populations and/or database management.

Travel is required. Must have valid driver's license and eligibility for Car Fleet usage is necessary.

This is a terminal position lasting at least one year. There is a possibility it may be extended up to a total appointment of two years or made renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment and/or funding becomes available.
