Hillsdale College invites application for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in History (beginning August, 2018), rank to be determined by the level of experience and the record of the successful candidate. We seek an Americanist with expertise in twentieth century history, especially Cold War and recent America. The successful candidate must also demonstrate ability to teach Economic History of the United States. Finally, applicants should possess ability and enthusiasm for teaching courses in the Western and the American Heritage, required components of the college’s core curriculum. The successful candidate will teach three courses per semester, two of which will be sections of the core Heritage courses. Salary competitive. PhD required. Hillsdale College is a small (1400 students) fiercely independent Christian college of liberal arts, committed to the Western tradition and dedicated to excellence in teaching undergraduate students.
