About the Opportunity:
The Assistant Director of Academic Advising reports to the Director of Advising and is part of a leadership team that is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and assessment of the Khoury College of Computer Sciences Undergraduate Advising Services.

Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director works in partnership with the Director in hiring, supervising, and training staff under the developmental/appreciative advising model; supports implementation of advising-related technology; provides academic advisement to students as needed; coordinates special advising related projects to support student retention, equity, college and university goals, and best practices in advising. It is critical that the Assistant Director works to foster a welcoming, nurturing, and belonging environment for all students, including those underrepresented in the computer sciences.

Qualifications:
Master's degree and 3- 5 years of experience in a higher education advising setting; strong administrative, organizational, analytical, and communication skills; strong knowledge and competence in technology and systems; ability to analyze quantitative data; ability to both take initiative and to work as a member of a team; ability to represent the college in a variety of settings with both internal and external constituencies.
