Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice/Visiting Assistant College Lecturer (Revised)

The department of Engineering Technology of the Washkewicz College of Engineering of Cleveland State University is seeking applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice or Visiting Assistant College Lecturer.


The successful candidate is expected to develop and teach undergraduate courses in the core electronics engineering technology discipline with particular focus on power supply design and robotics, as well as combined electro-mechanical technical electives. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, developing online courses, service to the department, assisting with program accreditation, and developing new laboratory instructional materials.

Minimum qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, or closely related field are required. The Visiting Assistant College Lecturer position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant industrial experience. To be considered for the Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice position, a minimum of 10 years of relevant industrial experience is required.

Preferred qualifications: Demonstrated experience in teaching engineering or engineering technology courses; excellent communication skills; the ability to contribute through teaching and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.
