Assistant Program Director of Scholarship Administration and Stewardship
The Assistant Program Director of Scholarship Administration and Stewardship will join the central Donor Relations and Stewardship team at an exciting time as it partners with the Office of Student Financial Aid, Enrollment Management and the University of Maryland College Park Foundation to launch the campus-wide Scholarship Universe platform. This individual will serve as the point person for University Relations in the implementation and maintenance of this scholarship tool to ensure that all scholarship and fellowship funds are awarded and stewarded on an annual basis. This person will oversee the timeline for scholarship administration and stewardship by assisting in establishing an organized structure to notify campus partners of new scholarship funds, alert campus partners on available funding each year, ensure scholarships and fellowships are awarded in a timely manner and according to donor intent, track and document scholarship stewardship and compile regular metrics for both fund auditing and scholarship donor outreach.
The Assistant Program Director will collaborate and conduct regular training with schools and colleges on scholarship compliance and timely stewardship of scholarship donors, which will include directly working with unit donor relations representatives, business and scholarship managers. They will assist in launching campus-wide guidelines for best practices in scholarship administration and stewardship. They will also manage their own portfolio of scholarship and fellowship award stewardship for principal gift donors, centrally administered funds and donors that give to leadership priority funds.
Additionally, this individual will assist with central scholarship events and meetings between top donors and their scholarship recipients throughout the year.
Education (include licenses, certifications, etc.): Bachelor’s Degree Required.
Experience: Minimum of four years of work experience in donor relations, stewardship, fundraising, student financial aid, or in a comparable industry.
