Seeking an Assistant Professor with an active teaching and research career. The Assistant Professor will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Family and Consumer Sciences and Human Services and Consumer Sciences. The ideal candidate must possess a terminal degree (PhD) in Family and Consumer Sciences, Human Services and Consumer Sciences or related fields (Human Sciences, Human Ecology, Education); a minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in the field of Family and Consumer Sciences and Child and Family Development at the college or university level; evidence of capability to engage in and publish research, and present at professional meetings; and demonstrated knowledge and awareness of professional developments related to areas of expertise.
Essential Duties Summary
• Teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Family and Consumer Sciences and Human Services and Consumer Sciences.
• Collaborates with Human Services and Consumer Sciences faculty as appropriate for enhancing instructional delivery and contributing to departmental goals.
• Recruits and retains students in the department of Human Services and Consumer Sciences and concentration of Family and Consumer Sciences
• Works on department, college and/or university committees as appropriate.
• Engages in community service activities as appropriate.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range $42,139.00 - $57,941.00 Education
An earned doctorate in Family and Consumer Sciences, Human Service and Consumer Sciences, or a related field with expertise in family and consumer sciences content.
