Teach graduate courses in Marriage and Family Therapy and Human Development and Family Science, and undergraduate courses in Child and Family Development program. The position involves scholarly activity and professional service to the program, school, university, and professional organizations. Scholarly activity, such as presentations, grants, and publications, is necessary for promotion and tenure. Preferred candidate will have ability to utilize technology and teach online courses. Summer teaching opportunities may be available.

Required Qualifications:

1. An earned doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy, Couple Counseling, Human Development, Family Studies or related field preferred at time of hire ( ABD considered with degree conferred no later than August 2, 2022).
2. Applicant must hold a license to practice MFT and be an approved supervisor or candidate for AAMFT Approved Supervisor Designation.

Computer Skills Word-Processing, Presentation Experience

1. Candidates should provide evidence of developing a program of research, demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, and engagement in service/outreach;
2. Ability to advance department’s commitment to diversity;
3. Excellent team collaboration skills, competency in instructional technology, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
4. Preference may be given to candidates with teaching experience, MFT program development, and expertise in child and adolescent interventions.

Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Knowledge of a University environment preferred, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

Competency in teaching and supervision. Experience with learning management systems preferred.
