Job Summary

Provides technology support for students, faculty, and staff. Assists users with technology resources, including hardware, software, network connections, technology accounts, and university systems.
Responsible for audiovisual technology support during meetings, classes, and special events – which may require evening and/or weekend hours.

Salary Grade Essential Functions

1. Serves as a level two technology support representative for the Office of Information Services.
2. Manages the Service Desk during evening hours, including email, telephone, and ticketing system responsibilities.
3. Provides event support, including setup, monitoring, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment.
4. Assists with access and usage of university systems, including TeamDynamix, Kaseya VSA, Microsoft SCCM, Citrix, Jamf, Office 365, PaperCut, Zoom, and more.
5. Maintains campus hardware, including computers, mobile devices, printers, audiovisual equipment, and more.
6. Provides information and support for students, faculty, and staff with technology account activation, usage, troubleshooting.
7. Supports deployment of Apple and Microsoft Windows based hardware for employees.
8. Remediates classroom technology and audiovisual equipment issues.
9. Assists students and employees with network connectivity in all campus buildings.
10. Escalates issues related to technology account access and system errors and outages to appropriate department leadership in a prompt and detailed manner.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
2. Familiarity with basic sound equipment, projectors, cameras, microphones, video editing software, and videoconferencing services.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft and Apple operating systems, hardware, and software.
4. Ability to troubleshoot issues independently or as part of a team.
5. Ability to multitask and provide quality assistance in urgent situations.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
2. Technology related experience in higher education.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Ability to work some flexible hours as needed for evening and weekend events that incorporate technology. Physical activities include repetitive motion and exerting up to 25 pounds of force in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Work Hours

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 12:00pm-8:00pm; Thursday, Friday: 10:00am-6:00pm
