Job Summary

The Division of Student Affairs at Auburn University is seeking applications for the position of Coordinator of Greek Life, Interfraternity Council ( IFC ) Advisor. The advisor will work in the office of Greek Life to oversee and advise a the Auburn Interfraternity Council ( IFC ) consisting of 25 inter/national fraternities whose membership comprises 25% of the Auburn undergraduate male population. This is a full-time, 12-month position. The advisor will report to the Director of Greek Life.

Essential Functions

Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
-Advise the Interfraternity Council ( IFC )
-Support fraternity chapter objectives, meeting individually with chapter officers
-Manage recruitment and new member processes for IFC fraternities
-Direct online chapter management and reporting systems and other technologies
-Participate in planning and implementation of large IFC events, such as IFC’s Auburn Man program, Council of Presidents meetings and Risk Management round tables
-Respond to crisis situations on campus involving fraternity events
-Engage in training chapter officers and organizing leadership workshops and retreats
-Collaborate with Auburn University fraternity chapters and the Coordinator
of Greek Life for Housing and Compliance in the management of fraternity property
-Serve as a liaison between Auburn University and key constituents interested in the fraternity community including Auburn
University faculty and staff, fraternity headquarters staff, chapter advisors,
parents, alumni, and community members
-Coordinate programming for Greek members on a variety of topics
-Support and advise the disciplinary process and assist with investigations involving fraternities and sororities
-Supervise one graduate assistant
-Participate on committees and other activities within the Division of Student Affairs and other duties within the office of Greek Life to be determined related to the skill set of candidate selected

Education Level

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.

-Knowledge of national trends and expectations and issues relevant to fraternities and sororities, specifically those organizations affiliated with the North American Interfraternity Conference ( NIC )

-Experience developing and implementing educational programs
