Job Description:

Resolve individual student cases via administrative hearings, University Officials Boards, and administrative reviews; advise Student Conduct Committees or refer to other conflict resolution processes as appropriate. The Associate Director may handle student organizational cases as well as maintain a caseload of individual student cases, ensuring record keeping is accurate and complete for assigned cases.

Supervise and train professional staff, case coordinators, and graduate interns as designated by Assistant Dean/Director

Manage and monitor caseloads of SCCR staff and adjust as appropriate. Assist with internal operations of the SCCR office. Provide periodical overview caseload reports to Assistant Dean/Director

Represent Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution on University committees as appropriate.

Assist in assessment practices and provide statistical reports and summaries for various departments and agencies regarding types of conduct cases and outcomes including Florida Open Records requests

Assist with the three credit hour course for Student Conduct Committee members with the assistance of other staff.

Develop and present outreach programs regarding conflict resolution, academic integrity, the student conduct code, and various services that Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution provides to the campus community.

Serve as an active member of the Dean of Students Office team which may include cross-training in other areas within the DSO, assisting students or others in distress, serving on-call as an Emergency Dean and on the Protest Safety Team, etc.

Expected Salary:

$56,500-$62,000

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and four years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and six years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and four years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and six years of relevant experience. Qualified applicants should have graduate or professional experience in student affairs. Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with collegiate conduct systems preferred. Evidence of establishing effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff and external constituents. One to two years professional experience preferred. Some knowledge or experience with mediation, restorative justice or other conflict resolution model preferred.
