The University of Iowa (UI) invites applications for the Dean of the College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics position. The Dean will lead the College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics through the next stages of research discoveries, program innovation, student success, and strengthened connection with external stakeholders while providing leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion. The College includes the departments of: endodontics; family dentistry; hospital dentistry; operative dentistry; oral and maxillofacial surgery; oral pathology, radiology, & medicine; orthodontics; pediatric dentistry; periodontics; preventive & community dentistry; and prosthodontics and had a total enrollment of over 400 students for Fall 2020, including approximately 325 pre-doctoral and 80 graduate students.

The Dean of the College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics reports to the Executive Vice President and Provost. The Dean is responsible for the academic, administrative, and fiscal leadership of the College. Direct reports to the Dean currently include the Executive Associate Dean, the Associate Deans of education/curriculum, patient care, student affairs, faculty, research, finance & facilities, as well as department heads and the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
