PCC is seeking a qualified Facilities Operations Maintenance Specialist III, with a focus on HVAC. Performs skilled maintenance, repair, adjustment and minor construction work in the trades to ensure that facilities are properly maintained and meet College standards. Trains less skilled employees in facilities maintenance trades. Assists Facilities Management Services (FMS) management in planning work, identifying staff training needs, and in project management. Duties may fall into a variety of trades, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, energy management, fire-life safety and keys/security systems.

This is a recruitment for two positions:

Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday

Location 1: Southeast Campus

Location 2: Sylvania Campus - position will be based at Sylvania Campus, but will also travel to support the OMIC Center in Scappoose, OR.

Candidate Profile

These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.
Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications.

1. Experience with DDC Controls for HVAC.
2. Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license
3. Experience working at a college/school with multiple buildings.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

High school diploma or equivalent.
Five years of facilities maintenance, construction, or repair experience in a commercial or industrial setting (two years of education or training, or an Associate’s Degree, in the facilities maintenance trades may substitute for two years of work experience).

Must have a valid driver’s license for operation of a motor vehicle in Oregon and possess an acceptable driving record. Forklift driver certification required within six months of employment.

Position Grade 21 Starting Salary Expectations The first two steps of the range are: $49,567 to $51,052 per year. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity. Position Grade Salary Range $49567 to $79541 Annual Salary FTE 1 PCC Benefits

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various
weather conditions. May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions,
noise and temperature extremes. Position involves frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching below and above shoulders, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. while performing job duties. Wrist, hand and finger dexterity is required to operate
