  Position Summary
  The Assistant Coach provides coaching, recruiting, and administrative assistance to the Head Coach. This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, the PAC-12 Conference, and the NCAA.
  
  This position will work with individual student-athletes on improving their performance in the sport of golf, evaluate student-athletes to identify strengths and deficiencies, and design instructional opportunities to improve technical and strategic execution based on sound motor learning and bio-mechanical principles.
  
  Minimum Requirements
  
• Bachelor's Degree
  
• Three years of collegiate golf coaching and/or playing experience, PGA of America golf instruction experience, or professional caddying experience
  
  Professional Competencies
  
• Strong written and oral communication skills
  
• Excellent organizational skills
  
• Highly motivated and energetic
  
• Ability to work effectively with administrators, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
  
  Preferred Qualifications
  
• Proven success in Division I, Power 5 intercollegiate sports program development
  
• Professional golf experience
  
• Tournament management and execution experience
