Position Summary:

The School of Human Ecology (SoHE) Alumni Relations Officer is responsible for management of alumni relations events, communications, and stewardship as well as gathering, maintaining, and analyzing alumni and donor information. This position reports to the Senior Assistant Dean of Advancement and Communications and is a core member of the Advancement and Communications team who will work closely with SoHE faculty and staff, the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association, and other stakeholders, providing daily management of the annual fund-raising efforts, strategic communications, and stewardship activities. Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's Degree required. Preferences in marketing, public relations, communications, philanthropy and nonprofit development, or related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Two years of relevant professional work experience required.

Preferred qualifications:
Experience planning small and large events
Experience managing multiple projects concurrently to meet established deadlines.
Experience working in a creative environment that requires initiative to adapt quickly.
Experience with email marketing tools and website content management system.
Experience in developing processes and procedures
Experience in donor relations
Strong oral and written skills
Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive work and learning environment
