Job Summary

Provides instructional design services and support to faculty, instructors, and subject matter experts in the development of online courses and modules.

Essential Functions

- Manages, facilitates, and participates in course development projects, as well as the development of instructional materials
- Collaborates with faculty, instructors, and subject matter experts to design and develop interactive online courses
- Determines appropriate instructional application of online technologies in conjunction with stakeholders
- Researches and utilizes the most up-to-date practices and technologies related to instructional design and online learning applications
- Gathers feedback from stakeholders to continually update and improve course design and content
- Analyzes and ensures all online courses meet quality standards, including Universal Design for Learning ( UDL )
- Works with faculty and administrators to improve and relaunch online courses based on an evaluation of relevant student engagement and performance data and analytics.

Minimum Skills and Abilities

The selected individual must possess the ability to work effectively and in a positive manner while providing excellent customer service, have excellent communication skills and diplomacy, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Minimum Technology Skills

Canvas LMS, LTI / API integrations, publisher products and services, web-based applications, cloud-based sharing and storage services.

Minimum License and Certifications

Desired Qualifications

Demonstrable knowledge of the following: Canvas LMS : setup course shell, layout, modules, configure and report analytics; theoretical knowledge and application of design thinking and instructional strategies including gamification, adaptive learning, micro-credentialing; editing and producing audio and video.
