Reports To: Manager, Center for the Arts Marketing

Job Summary

The patron services coordinator is responsible for the oversight of all front-of-house operations for the J. Scheidegger Center, including proper functioning of local patron services.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators

The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Job Responsibilities and Execution

  • Coordinates all front-of-house operations, including ushering, merchandising, valet parking, concessions, coat check, and climate
  • Coordinates housekeeping for the lobby, theater, and surrounding spaces
  • Coordinates safety and security for guests at all times
  • Maintains responsibility for planning, delegating, and organizing resources
  • Resolves matters of significance regarding front-of-house operations
  • Maintains detailed records of all sales, donations, and expenditures
  • Provides thought leadership in reviewing and recommending policies and procedures to enhance operational excellence
  • Ensures compliant and efficient daily management of all operational, financial, and business functions


Service Excellence

  • Supports the mission of the university and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the university’s values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity, and teamwork
  • Supports recruitment, training, and supervision of community volunteers


Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration

  • Collaborates with supervisor to ensure optimal attendance, sales, services, and events
  • Coordinates building tours and lobby displays


Job may require other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior relevant experience preferred
