Adult Degree Program (ADP) Operations Coordinator

Northwood University seeks an Adult Degree Program (ADP) Operations Coordinator provide operational support for the Adult Degree Program with the goal of increased operational efficiency and financial growth and to support leadership in collaborative efforts within ADP and across functions and operating units. This position reports directly to the Assistant Vice President/Associate Dean (AVP/AD) and the Director of Admissions for the Adult Degree Program (ADP).

Key Responsibilities:

Financial and Administrative Operations :

  • Assist AVP/AD and Director of Admissions with planning initiatives for ADP and its programs for all locations and delivery modalities.
  • Provide daily management of the ADP budget and assist the AVP/AD in overall budget management, operational effectiveness and financial growth.
  • Assist in maintaining contract templates, MOUs, agreements and maintaining databases as needs arise and consistently lead operating unit organization (e.g. remote center reopening plans, shared drives, etc.)
  • Develop and manage systems and tools to capture and report key ADP metrics.
  • Work with Program Center Managers and Admissions team to coordinate timely distribution of materials as necessary.
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of ADP operational practices to support university policies.
  • Assist new staff with onboarding processes within the operating unit.
  • Lead facilities management, including program centers, technical needs, security processes and procedures, and fleet vehicles.

Academic Operations:

  • Assist the AVP/AD in optimizing academic processes.
  • Assist the AVP/AD in preparing, maintaining and updating ADP operational practices and tracking reports, as needed.
  • Provide academic and operational support to ADP’s key growth segments. Assist in coordination of key processes and documentation to support these strategy teams’ work.

Marketing Operations:

  • Under the direction of the AVP/AD and Director of Admissions, work collaboratively with the ADP team to review, develop and suggest marketing tactics to assist with the growth of all ADP programs and segments. Acts as primary contact and liaison with marketing department for the creation, distribution and storage of ADP marketing materials.
  • Provide project management support for new and current marketing materials and efforts.
  • Conduct environmental scanning for ADP program centers and markets to assist in assessment of bringing new NU programs to ADP.
  • Ensure up-to-date, relevant and accurate information pertaining ADP materials, website and catalog.
  • Assist with the creation and content organization for ADP Advantage Newsletter for ADP students.
  • Other duties as assigned by AVP/AD or Director of Admissions.


  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, finance and/or marketing;
  • Social media expertise a plus.
  • Three or more years of budget and/or accounting management experience.
  • Excel at written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the University’s relational database (Colleague), MS Office Suite (including Outlook Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, (Visio a plus) and ability to learn other NU-specific tools.
  • Operations experience in academic s preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Operations and/or administrative support experience preferred.
  • Higher education experience preferred.
  • When conditions permit due to COVID-19, this position will be required to work full-time at the Northwood University main campus in Midland, Michigan.
