Job Summary
The Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Automation Engineer Technology program will teach courses in the program. Responsibilities include teaching sections of courses including Maintenance Principles, Fluid Power, Industrial Electrical Theory, PLC and Robotics.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree + 5 years of relevant work experience
1 year teaching experience
Industrial maintenance experience
Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC Control Logix
Demonstrated knowledge of current electrical and construction industry
Demonstrated knowledge of safety in the industrial maintenance field
Ability to work with a variety of industrial tools and operations, including industrial motor controls and VFDs, programmable logic controllers, pneumatics, hydraulics, pipe bending, rigging and lifting
Ability to create curriculum to lecture and demonstrate within a class or lab environment
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree + 3 years of related experience working in the automation manufacturing industry
Master Electrician license
Teaching or training experience
Industry recognized certification
2 years teaching in a vocational setting
Experience developing curriculum related to industrial principles
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
