Job Summary

Position entails administrative responsibilities i.e. serving as a central point of contact for the museum, handling mailing lists etc.; budgetary responsibilities i.e., monitor and development of department’s budget, process invoices; event management responsibilities including designing and mailing invitations, coordinating catering and artists travel arrangements etc.; design/marketing responsibilities i.e. working with publications on all museum’s advertising, exhibition invites, email blasts and other publications; website management i.e. ensuring the museum’s website is continuously updated and other duties as assigned depending on the needs of the museum.

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree and three years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency tests. Ability to work fluently within various types of software (BANNER; word-processing; spreadsheets; database; custom applications)
Strong organizational skills; ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously; flexibility
Commitment to accuracy; attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of contemporary visual art
Prior museum/gallery experience
Current or previous JCCC employee
Banner Finance experience
