Responsible for functions related to teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses; advising students; serving on dissertation committee; engaging in scholarly activities in areas relevant to the department; and assuming departmental and college committee responsibilities.

Essential Duties Summary

Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Administration of Justice as assigned. Advise students who major or minor in Administration of Justice. Supervise Thesis and Dissertations. Teach Research Methods in Administration of Justice both online and face-to-face; Teach Statistics in Administration of Justice both online and face-to-face. Teach master’s level statistics and research methods. Possess or show the potential to develop an active research agenda in terrorism and emergency management issues, including the pursuit of extramural funding. Participate in and develop partnerships with local, regional, national, and international scholars and practitioners, and criminal justice agencies.

An earned Ph.D. degree from an accredited college/university in Criminology; Criminal Justice; Administration of Justice; or closely related field is required An earned J.D. degree is insufficient for this appointment, even with teaching and administration experience in criminal justice.
