This position is dependent upon continued need and funding related to Covid 19. This temporary, non-benefited position is expected to begin on July 26th and last for 3 months with prospects for extending.


Hours are variable, up to 40 hours per week, on-call rotation.

DEFINITION:


Under general direction of the COVID-19 Exposure Tracing Manager, the Exposure Tracing Coordinator is responsible for contacting COVID-19 positive individuals and execute exposure tracing/support tasks, and communicating/ coordinating with other departments about exposure incidents/relay recommended actions determined by the EOC/IMT Exposure Response Team.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Essential Functions:
  1. Assure compliance with CSUMB COVID-19 Prevention Plan exposure response protocol (AB685, Cal/OSHA ETS).
  2. Respond to instructions from EOC/IMT Exposure Response Team and Test Stakeholders: University Personnel, Corporation HR, Risk Management, Health & Wellness Services, Care Team, Housing, and Athletics.
  3. Attend meetings to review COVID-19 test results and positive cases as needed.
  4. Contact COVID-19 positive individuals and execute exposure tracing/support tasks; communicate/coordinate with other departments about exposure incidents/relay recommended actions.
  5. Serve as coordinated member of Exposure Tracing team with University Personnel/Corporation HR, Health & Wellness Service and Student Life and other departments with special COVID-19 protocols.
  6. Communicate with COVID-19 Community Safety Assistants regarding exposure response.
  7. Communicate with COVID-19 Testing Staff Manager and Clinic Leads for exposure updates.
  8. Write/review reports, memos, letters, email, use of electronic, paperless, and hard-copy fill-in forms, and workflow systems. May update online materials and information related to COVID-19 prevention.
  9. Provide assigned department support duties as needed/assigned related to COVID-19 safety.
  10. Participate in all OSHA and University safety programs, as required, and follow all work safety guidelines.


Other Functions:
  1. May support other safety measures as needed and appropriate, during low or no positive cases.
  2. May lead Warning Notifications by assigning non-compliant individuals to trainings, notify the individual of this responsibility, track completion of training, and report to student conduct after no-show, failure to sign up for testing, or incomplete trainings.
  3. May plan agendas, conduct, and attend CSA team meetings (virtual and/or in-person).
  4. Performs other duties as assigned.


PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:

There are components of this job which are deemed essential on campus. This position will primarily work on the main campus, with occasional work from home.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requires fundamental written and oral communication skills, including a sound foundation in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; an ability to work independently with some supervision; an ability to understand standard office procedures; an ability to operate standard office equipment; an ability to learn office technology systems; an ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; typing and keyboard skills; an ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma AND three to six months of related experience.

Preferred: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in a job-related field AND one year experience in coordinating work through a system of internal procedures and internal controls to ensure efficient operation.

Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the CSUMB Vision Statement and the core values of mutual respect, collaboration and service orientation, multiculturalism and diversity, community service and institutional excellence. Experience working with a diverse and multicultural population and performing community services; demonstrated technical literacy.

  • Demonstrated ability to address the essential functions associated with this position including the knowledge and abilities identified above.
  • Must be available for on-call assignments or alternate work schedule, including nights and/or weekends; and travel between campus offices and off-campus locations.
  • Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and complete and pass training in Defensive Driving. Must continue to meet the established driving standards as a condition of employment. A parking permit must be purchased while on campus.
  • Hours are variable, up to 40 hours per week, on-call rotation.

Compensation and Benefits:
The University Corporation is committed to providing our employees with a comprehensive program that rewards efforts that are appreciated by your colleagues, students, and the customers we serve. The hourly rate for this position is $25. This is a non-exempt position and as such is eligible for the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. A phone stipend may be provided.
