The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Food Systems Research Unit, in Burlington, Vermont invites applications for a Research Biologist/Social Scientist position, GS-401;101-12;13 ($78,116 to $120,758 per year).  A scientist is needed to, as part of a team, develop a strategic research program on northeastern Food Systems. This research will identify and describe small farm and local food systems, and evaluate the integrated effects of sustainable farm practices, local small farm products, and consumer choice on public health, as well as economic, environmental and social sustainability (announcement ARS-D21Y-11110673-SC). The ideal candidate has experience working with social science research related to food systems or decision-making behaviors.
