Job Summary

The School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler invites applicants to apply for a full-time, non-tenure-track Clinical Assistant Professor in Nursing - FNP faculty position at a salary commensurate with experience to begin Summer 2021 or Fall 2021.  This is a 9-month academic appointment with an opportunity for a stipend if teaching in the off-semester.  Review of applications will begin immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.

 

 

Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks

  • Primary teaching of hybrid nursing courses, conducting clinical experiences for FNP students on the Tyler campus.
  • Assisting other classroom faculty as needed.
  • Mentoring and advising students
  • Participating in College and University service.

 

Minimum Required Education/Experience

  • Earned Doctorate in Nursing.
  • Board certified family nurse practitioner.
  • Three (3) – Five (5) years of teaching experience.
  • Currently eligible for licensure in Texas.
  • Online teaching experience preferred.

Additional Information

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
