Position Summary:

The Administrative Specialist is responsible for a variety of professional level work across a variety of administrative service areas including budget, finance, procurement, and human resources with impact across the institution in support of unit or institutional goals.

The Center for Human Genomics and Precision Medicine (CHGPM) at the School of Medicine and Public Health, is leading a large-scale expansion of the University's activities in applied genomics and precision medicine. The CHGPM's application of genome sciences to clinical medicine encompasses basic, translational and clinical research as well as educational activities and community outreach. The Administrative Specialist will be a primary member of the CHGPM administrative team under the Assistant Director. The Administrative Specialist will also provide support for the faculty and center staff with various projects to develop, implement, and enhance research and education processes and activities in the center. They will also consistently exercise courtesy, accuracy, professionalism, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere in our developing center.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

At least 2 years of relatable experience required; 3-5 years relatable experience preferred.
Experience in a higher education setting preferred.
Strong customer service skills required.

Additional Information:
