  • Prospect for qualified students by visiting high schools and college fairs.
  • Perform consumer based counseling with students and their parents to show them how Carroll University can meet their needs.
  • Reviews application credentials for students from assigned to you and makes an admission decision and award merit based scholarships.
  • Counsel accepted applicants and their parents on the financial aid process, the college's financial aid philosophy, and the specifics of individual financial aid awards.
  • Perform quality and timely follow-up with prospective students, parents, and high school personnel.
  • Confirm and enroll students from your assigned territory.
  • Conduct on-campus interviews with prospective students and parents.
  • Assist with all campus open houses.
  • Prepare and implement a Multicultural Recruitment Plan.
  • Build relationships and coordinate recruiting activities with targeted community organizations (i.e. College Possible, Chicago Scholars, Noble Network, Cappex Greenlight, CollegeNet, etc.).
  • Provide bilingual admission and financial aid presentations to students and families.
  • Implement the Pioneer Pathway program.
  • Assist Office of Student Success with retention of minority student initiatives.
  • Be part of Alumni Diversity Committee.
  • Sit on Advisory Team for HCOP/HRSA Grants.
  • Provide bilingual admissions presentations
  • Help with selection of Opportunity Scholarship students.
  • Performs additional duties as required.


Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales/recruiting preferred
  • Previous experience in private higher education undergraduate admission preferred

Technology Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to use University software to create & maintain student admissions records

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Client focused sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Ability to listen effectively, work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of students

Additional Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Must have valid driver's license and be insurable under the University's plan
  • This position requires weekend and/or evening hours
