Starbucks Manager-UVU Campus Store

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
The Starbucks Manager for the UVU Campus Store will add to the success of the UVU Campus Stores. The Starbucks manager is in charge of the overall operations and maintenance for the location. Primary functions are to train and direct the workforce of the location, make staffing decisions, ensure customer satisfaction and order product. This position manages the locations financial performance, safety and security, menu items and training of staff are also be required. Manages the buying process to have the proper inventory and selection based on store needs and turnover goals. Stocks and maintains inventory. Monitors and manages store staffing levels to ensure development of talent and maintain store operational requirements. Provides coaching and direction to the staff to meet goals. Reviews environment and key business indicators to identify problems/opportunities to provide coaching and direction to the store team. Provides a customer-first attitude with training. Uses financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in store performance. Learns and implements all required practices from Starbucks Corporation. This includes (but is not limited to) menu planning, training, certification/permit monitoring promotion execution and scheduling. Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for planning, preparing and directing all aspects appertaining to food service functions of assigned department's area.

Responsible for the full execution of Starbucks seasonal promotions: This includes merchandising, staff training, inventory management, and creation of sales goals. Sets and meets yearly sales goals.

Required Qualifications:
At least three years in retail experience.
At least 4-6 years progressively more responsible management experience.
At least one year within a restaurant environment.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Able to set goals and meet deadlines.
  • Maintains financial reports
  • Successfully completes and implements advance store training.
  • Provides the “Service Experience” consistently for all customers.
  • Complies with company policies and guidelines.
  • Communicates with staff and senior management to meet store needs.
  • Experience analyzing financial reports and goal setting.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to work independently when necessary.
  • Highly motivated with consistent work ethic.
  • Able to create and maintain schedules and cover all needed shifts.
  • Knowledge of cashiering operations.


Preferred Qualifications:
Previous knowledge of Starbucks operations.
Microsoft Office knowledge a plus.


Physical Requirements:
Frequently bending or stooping.
Able to lifts items up to 10 pounds frequently and over 10 pounds on a regular basis.
Able to stand and sit for long periods of time.
Able to talk to customers, take orders and view that orders are made correctly.
Walking and moving about continuously.
Fine Hand Manipulation.
Reaching, kneeling, twisting and/or turning might be required in some activities.
