Job Summary:

The Liberty Partnerships Program at Marist College seeks a full-time Family Engagement Coordinator. This is a grant-funded position reporting to the Director of the Liberty Partnerships Program. This position is responsible for providing services to students and families including outreach, planning and implementing activities, and evaluating the needs of students and families.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related experience required. Knowledge and experience working with students and families required. Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and offer experience working with populations from diverse ethnic, racial, and/or socioeconomic backgrounds preferred. 

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with the Director, Program Coordinators, students, families, and community partners to achieve program goals.
  • Supervise tutors, volunteers, and interns.
  • Help develop and execute family engagement and recruitment strategies. 
  • Create, coordinate and monitor the effectiveness of the program’s communication, including social media, website, and marketing materials.
  • Provide data and assessments to assure timely compliance with all regulations and program requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who offer a Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social work, psychology, or a Master’s Degree in a relevant area of study. Excellent written, oral, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, leadership and organizational skills preferred.

Liberty Partnerships Program is a New York State grant-funded program that offers comprehensive pre-collegiate/dropout prevention programs and services to youth in grades 5-12 in the City of Poughkeepsie.
