The Senior Solutions Architect will perform the leadership, facilitation, analysis, and design tasks required to develop enterprise-class on-premises and cloud-based solution architectures.
Develop architecture standards in the applications area, review and evaluate proposed third-party and internally developed application architectures, and review existing applications for redesign, especially in the context of risk management.
Develop the overall solution vision that underlies a proposed solution and the transformation of that vision into a documented Solution Architecture. Become actively involved with a project at the time of inception and participate in the business requirements gathering and remain involved throughout the balance of the project.
Design and develop proof-of-concept (pilot) applications using various technologies including cloud-based technologies. Consult and support application developers in regard to the use of toolkit or infrastructure components.
Required Skills
- B.A./B.S., Masters preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.
- Strong development experience in Java or C# languages.
- Strong experience in SOAP and Restful web services.
- Strong experience in cloud-based technologies: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Familiarity with the following is desirable: AWS or ASURE clouds Java or .NET platforms Apache, NGINX or IIS webservers Java Spring or Angular frameworks Java, C#, or PHP languages SAML, ADFS, or Shibboleth authentication Git and GitHub version control
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working as part of a team ideally teams that have included designers, developers, and project management. 5-7 years of IT work experience or the equivalent in the area of web development working with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and front-end libraries such as React, jQuery, etc.
