JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the
Dean of Student Affairs, provide coordination and planning for
university-wide tradition programs such as, New Student
Orientation, Graduation, Student Honor Code/Doctor Bag/Clinic
Entrance Ceremonies, Welcome Week Activities, Student Leadership
Summit, and Parker Serves. Develop, direct and coordinate
university-wide co-curricular activities for students and the
Parker community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide Supervision to the Coordinator of Student Activities
and Career Services
Plan, organize, and manage university-wide new student
orientation sessions for all incoming students.
Plan, organize, and manage student graduation ceremonies.
Plan, organize, and manage annual Parker Serves event.
Plan, organize, and manage Student Transition Ceremonies
including Doctor Bag, Honor Code, Clinic Entrance/White Coat, and
Tri 1 Meet and Greet Ceremonies
Plan, organize, and manage annual Student Leadership Summit in
conjunction with the CTL.
Co-chair SAFE ZONE training in collaboration with the CTL
providing learning and development opportunities to students and
employees.
Oversee budgets and contracts for orientation, Parker Serves,
graduation, career services, and student activities.
Select and train student orientation leaders.
Work closely with the Dean of Student Affairs and perform other
duties assigned by the Dean.
Promote a student-centered environment with a focus on student
leadership
Develop collaborative relationships with students, academic
partners, and other University departments.
Contribute to the development of strategic goals for student
programming.
Facilitate appropriate assessment of student events and
programs.
Research and stay current on higher education programs, trends,
and issues. With the potential for travel to national
conferences.
Serve on university committees as assigned.
Manage the implementation, distribution, and tracking of the
Everfi system for Title IX/Diversity and Inclusion student
training
EDUCATION/EXPERTISE:
Bachelor’s Degree required; Higher education or a closely
related field preferred.
Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in Student Affairs
and/or Student Life programming and/or event planning.
Experience with orientation, and student activities,
preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger
dexterity, including ability to grasp.
Requires ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other
locations; or the ability to stand and walk.
Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or move light to medium
weight up to twenty-five (25) pounds and/or exert up to twenty-five
(25) pounds of force.
