Job Summary

The IT Services department in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University is searching for an Endpoint Support analyst to lead our College Service Desk. Under minimal supervision, the person in this position is responsible for providing day-to-day oversight of the service desk to ensure that work is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner. Additionally, this position handles more complex issues that are beyond the knowledge and skill level of Tier 1 technicians.

Essential Functions

This position will have the following responsibilities:

1) Lead the student technicians to ensure timely and complete resolutions of IT service requests. Mentor team to achieve new heights in technical capability.

2) Lead student staffing levels and schedules to ensure sufficient coverage of the service desk. Oversees and ensures understanding of all procedures related to the identification, prioritization and resolution of IT support requests to the service desk, including the monitoring, tracking and coordination of Service Desk functions. Take part in managing AV requirements for events and needs throughout the college.

3) Manage inventory and assets of the IT S department; responsible for budgeting, asset supply, inventory tracking, and full asset lifecycle management for employee equipment

4) Perform high-level IT tasks.

5) Define success metrics for Service Desk. Provide reports demonstrating that service level expectations are being met.

- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology or related field. Experience in a higher education environment.
- Advanced knowledge of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of supporting desktop computer hardware, software, and peripherals, preferably in a higher education environment.
- Basic knowledge of TCP /IP networks, Active Directory, and intermediate knowledge of A/V equipment and principles.
