The Indiana Academy serves approximately 250 juniors and seniors who are gifted and talented from across the state of Indiana and through its international program. The Indiana Academy’s major purpose is to provide educational opportunities appropriate to the ability and development of its students. It is a primarily residential high school with several local non-residential students. Through various outreach programs, the Indiana Academy strives to stimulate and enable vitality in educational programs for students who are academically gifted. The Academy is committed to creating innovative programs and practices that attract, retain, and nurture a diverse Academy community.

Position Function
Provide academic guidance and support service to Academy students.
Minimum Education
Earned master’s degree in school counseling from a regionally accredited institution.
Minimum Experience
One year of academic counseling experience in an educational setting.
Minimum Other
Eligibility to obtain Indiana licensure as a school counselor.
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Preferred Experience
One year of experience in a high school setting.
Preferred Other
Knowledge of federal and state laws that affect student services and special education
Pre-Employment Screening
Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification.
