Experience working with and/or teaching diverse populations, especially individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and an understanding of inclusion necessary. License/Certification Required
N/A Description of the Department or Unit
SDAP is a non-degree comprehensive transition program for college-aged students with intellectual disabilities. The goal upon completion of the program is that graduates obtain competitive, integrated employment and live independent, fulfilling lives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides academic advising of SDAP students including coordinating their course registration and maintaining communication with their course instructors. Plans, prepares, and teaches courses for SDAP and other university students related to college, career, and life skills topics. Collaboration and supervision of relevant staff and student support to ensure SDAP student success. Maintains files and records related to SDAP student academic and community engagement performance. Assists with program recruitment and admissions activities and processes. Assists the program director with a variety of administrative duties including program planning and sustainability.
