Job Description:

The Graphic Artist/Graphic Design Specialist is a 12-month full-time professional non-exempt position. This position will be responsible for designing dynamic marketing materials including, but not limited to, print brochures, advertisements, email graphics, flyers, PowerPoints, posters, social media graphics, etc. Additionally, the Graphic Artist/Graphic Design Specialist will design, edit, and proofread to produce high quality, accurate pieces and web pages that satisfy the communication objectives and standards. The successful candidate will serve as a team member of the department with responsibilities for graphic design for print and online marketing materials; develop and maintain job files in accordance with production schedules to include cost estimating, job tracking, and time lines; develop specifications for price quotes and bids; and exercise knowledge of current design technologies. This position reports to the Executive Director, Marketing and Communications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in graphic art/design or closely related field and up to one-year documented experience; or five years appropriate work experience may be substituted for the college degree requirement.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer experience as a graphic design specialist dealing with marketing and branding, as well as photography. In addition to animation skills for social media.

ANNUAL SALARY: $32,550.00
