The Graphic Artist/Graphic Design Specialist is a 12-month
full-time professional non-exempt position. This position will be
responsible for designing dynamic marketing materials including,
but not limited to, print brochures, advertisements, email
graphics, flyers, PowerPoints, posters, social media graphics, etc.
Additionally, the Graphic Artist/Graphic Design Specialist will
design, edit, and proofread to produce high quality, accurate
pieces and web pages that satisfy the communication objectives and
standards. The successful candidate will serve as a team member of
the department with responsibilities for graphic design for print
and online marketing materials; develop and maintain job files in
accordance with production schedules to include cost estimating,
job tracking, and time lines; develop specifications for price
quotes and bids; and exercise knowledge of current design
technologies. This position reports to the Executive Director,
Marketing and Communications.
Graduation from an accredited
institution with a bachelor’s degree in graphic art/design or
closely related field and up to one-year documented experience; or
five years appropriate work experience may be substituted for the
college degree requirement.
Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility
requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of §
435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations.
