$500 Sign-Bonus for those hired on or after June 15, 2021 and before August 16, 2021. ½ paid at first check and ½ paid after 90 days, of eligibility requirements are met.

Bowdoin College is located in Brunswick Maine with a student population of almost 2000. We make everything from scratch and consistently rated in the top 10 for college dining! We have our own butcher shop, bakeshop and organic garden that all supply food to our 2 dining halls and 3 retail locations.
This year round position supervises our brand new Coastal Studies kitchen facility located 20 miles from campus in Harpswell, Maine. From March to November, this state of the art facility hosts approximately 20 students 3 meals/day. In addition, this position oversees medium to large scale catered events. From November-March, when not working at the Coastal Studies Center, this position supports the dining halls and retail operations in whatever capacity may be needed at the time.

Education/Skills Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Culinary Arts degree preferred, or 5 years progressive cooking experience required.

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

A valid Driver’s License and current College’s Motor Vehicle Use Certification. Within the first 30 days, ServSafe Food Production Manager Certification and ServSafe Food Allergen Training and Certification required.

Standard Work Days and Hours

Varying shifts including occasional overtime, weekends, holidays and during weather emergencies. Required to work during major college events and weekends.
