Position Summary

Supports the organization by performing administrative duties related to planning, managing, and coordinating operational activities of the assigned organization and working on assigned projects.

Some responsibilities include communication management, project coordination, assist management and colleagues perform assignments, and complete other assignments as requested.

· Ability to apply knowledge and experience in order to support and represent the assigned department in the scope, diversity, and complexity of all operations.

· Exhibit knowledge of department’s diverse responsibilities in order to efficiently direct communications to the appropriate personnel.

· Knowledge, skills, and ability to coordinate the activities and productivity of a department.

· Project coordination skills in support of stakeholder, communication, and time management.

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships in a diverse, multicultural environment of stakeholders internal and external to the assigned organization.

· Must be able to comply with Dallas College policies/procedures as well as applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

· Knowledge of best practices in program review, academic assessment, and curriculum management.

Physical Requirements

Minimum Knowledge and Experience

· Associates degree in Education or related field. Official transcripts required.
· 1-3 years of experience in higher education.

· Certification in project management (desired).

· Current and valid Texas driver’s license required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible for managing the department’s e-mail account, routing requests from faculty, staff, and management to the appropriate department personnel.

· Responds to inquiries of varying degree and complexity, with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions involving the appropriate department personnel.

· Project coordination to ensure requests requiring intra-office and external department collaboration are responded to with the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

· Assists the CAPM team with coordinating program review, academic assessment, and curriculum processes.

· Collaborates with Associate Deans of CAPM to guide the School(s) in the examination and evaluation of the effectiveness of curriculum.

· Coordinates the arrangement and logistics of professional development opportunities, workshops, or special presentations.

· Summarizes findings and writes reports for department management and other internal/external stakeholders.

· Participate in professional development activities to enhance job knowledge and stay up to date on associated area of responsibility.

· Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.

· Other duties may be assigned to this position on a regular or occasional basis to respond to needs of the institution.
