Position Summary
The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Department of Pharmacy Practice is seeking an individual to serve as the fiscal administrative individual for the UB, SUNY NYS DOH Medicaid Collaborative. This pharmacy service program is a partnership between the New York State Department of Health Medicaid Services and the University at Buffalo, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Job Responsibilities will include:
• Maintenance of master shadow spreadsheet to track project State, RF, and UBF expenditures ( PSR and OTPS ) across all components of project ( DUR, RDUR, MPEP )
• Preparation and submission of monthly expenditure reports (Collaborative Report)
• Preparation and submission of e-Reqs for project needs
• Preparation of projection budgets for the overall project’s upcoming funding cycles
• Preparation of budget reports for specific components of project ( DUR, RDUR, MPEP ), as needed, with special attention to some new directions the project is taking ( RDUR expansion, MPEP expansion, and MPEP CE programs) Identifying, resolving, and reconciling any issues that arise with project expenditures
• Balancing spreadsheets with SIRI (State and UBF ) and RF AIR (Research Foundation)
• Preparation of any other budgets or budget reports as required by PI or project needs
• Providing administrative support to PI on new grant submissions
• Assisting PI with preparation of pre-award proposal budgets for new initiatives
• Tracking the grant via the SPS process
• Assisting the PI with managing the grant from application to execution
• Tracking and monitoring post-award expenditures
• Finalizing post-award items as defined by the grant
• Acquisition of quotes and purchasing
The ideal candidate will have the following traits:
• Adaptability and problem solving
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to represent the department/project when working with granting partners
• Ability to prioritize and to manage competing priorities
• Ability to work independently, accurately handle time-sensitive matters, and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to use SIRI, RFAIR, and Click systems
• Ability to work closely with State, RF, UBF, and SPS for HR and Purchasing issues
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors required, plus 3-5 years of financial management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Masters preferred or equivalent experience
