Job Summary/Basic Function
Faculty member should be able to bring a vision and commitment to integrating the disciplines of digital media including webcast, video editing, television news. video production and live streaming with the concepts of converged media. Faculty member must have ability to work across digital platforms and curricula including current technical advances. Duties are primarily teaching undergraduate at all levels of communication, including TV/Video production courses in Digital Media Arts. Applicant must have a strong commitment to teaching, and a documented record of the development, creation, and distribution of media. Preference will be given to applicants with industry experience in broadcast production, including working in a “live” newsroom.
Minimum Qualifications
MFA or Ph.D. in Communicationrelated field with experience in digital media/video production, ideally in areas such as television programs, live events, news, sports and/or social media. Three years or more university teaching experience desire and professional experience preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with industry experience in broadcast production, including working in a "live" newsroom. Knowledge of contemporary creative and digital editing software i s a plus. Strongly encourage applicants who are able to develop both graduate and undergraduate level courses.
