About the Opportunity:
The Cooperative Education program at Northeastern University is one of the largest and most innovative in the world. Experiential learning, anchored by our renowned cooperative education program, lies at the heart of academic life at Northeastern. The College of Engineering Departmental Co-op team facilitates co-op experiences for over two thousand NU undergraduate and graduate students annually in collaboration with over 800 employer partners.

Responsibilities:
The College of Engineering Departmental Co-op program is seeking a Program Operations Manager to direct and coordinate co-op operations in relation to faculty, staff, students, and employer partners. The Program Operations Manager represents the Assistant Dean of Co-op at all times and is the first line triage to key constituents, while providing essential high level business support to the co-op Assistant Dean, Director and Assistant Directors. This position will ensure effectiveness of the daily operations of the co-op unit, and plays a pivotal role in executing the strategic vision of the university and co-op leadership team. Reports to the Assistant Dean of Cooperative Education to operationalize the activities of a collaborative team of 35 faculty and staff to provide exceptional service to our students and employer partners.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required with experience to include:
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in an academic setting; knowledge of university policies and procedures preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of budget management and administrative operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, high growth environment along with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and the ability to interact with professionalism and maintain confidentiality working with individuals throughout the organization.
  • Knowledge of management and supervision practice and techniques; prior supervisory experience desired
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experience working with databases.
