About the Opportunity:
The Department of Economics in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities at Northeastern University invites applications for a number of benefits-eligible, full-time, non-tenure track positions for open rank Teaching Professor positions, beginning in fall 2021. This is an untenured, but continuing and tracked position with the possibility of promotion to Associate and Full Teaching Professor, as well as multi-year (3 year and 5 year) contracts.

The Department of Economics offers an M.S. in Economics, a Ph.D in Applied Economics and undergraduate degrees in economics and in many disciplines combined with economics We seek candidates with experience in teaching economics at the graduate and undergraduate levels, especially in our core required graduate courses.

Responsibilities:
Full-time teaching load is three courses per semester. In addition to teaching, Teaching Professors are expected to serve on various department, college, and university committees and to pursue professional development opportunities.

The successful candidate will have the academic background and experience needed to teach one of more of our core courses of Microeconomic Theory, Macroeconomic Theory, Economic Statistics, and Econometrics at the M.S. and Ph.D. level. Interest and ability to teach a range of required and elective courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels is also required. Expertise in one or more of financial economics and econometrics, game theory, computational methods, and machine learning is desired. The ideal candidate will have extensive professional or academic experience and be professionally active.
