THE DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AT ROWAN UNIVERSITY invites applications for multiple 3/4 Time Instructor positions. Successful candidates must have a commitment to teaching excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to the institution and profession through service. An MS degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field is required for appointment (Ph.D. is preferred). In addition, excellent written and oral communication skills are expected. Candidates are sought to teach courses in various areas of mechanical engineering, such as thermal-fluids, statics & dynamics, solid mechanics, and finite element analysis. The Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, comprising of six departments, currently enrolls about 1800 undergraduate and graduate students. The Mechanical Engineering department is home to 400 undergraduates, 50 MS/Ph.D. students, 15 faculty members, and four staff members. The ME undergraduate program has consistently received high recognition by employers and academic peers with multidisciplinary “engineering clinics” as a hallmark.
